Coloured Composition 027

CC 027 a digital print created in 2024 for 9H Contemporary is a work that at least to us, has an oddly mystical or nocturnal quality to it.

On its face, CC027 is a very spare, almost elemental work consisting of a dark field of colour that dominates most of the canvas. Inset within this field is a single figure of suspended asymmetrically drawing in our eye. The deep red coloured figure with a tinge of yellow, immediately invites closer inspection. with the varied texture further activating it's visual interest. The textured field of surrounding the offset figure also has a subtle life of its own, with its own very subtle composition that only reveals itself upon a much closer examination. Thus, this work explores the dynamic dealing compositional dynamics, between the overt and covert, between the superficial and the deep.

Original artwork is a limited run of 10 prints. Made in Australia.
